When the farmers market gives you tomatoes...make caprese salad!
I chose a beautiful heirloom tomato along with a red and orange beefsteak tomatoes fresh from the farmers market at Union Square:
-Tomatoes of choice
-Fresh mozzarella cheese
-Extra Virgin olive oil
-Kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper
Step 1. Slice tomatoes and arrange on a plate. If using different colors, arrange the colors in a symmetrical pattern for presentation.
Step 2. Rip off small pieces of the mozzarella cheese and sprinkle over the tomatoes
Step 3. Place a few basil leaves on top
Step 4. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle a little olive oil over the top.
