I was really craving waffles, specifically chocolate waffles with bananas that would also be relatively healthy...and I think I succeeded!
These waffles are made with raw cacao powder which is my go-to healthy alternative to when I'm needing a little chocolate flavor in my life. I also used smashed up bananas in the waffle batter itself as well as topping with sliced bananas!
Serves: 4 waffles
Ingredients.
Steps.
Step 1. Combine all dry ingredients in a medium bowl. In a separate small bowl, mash up the banana using a fork until all the lumps are gone.
Step 2. Add the banana and the other wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until well combined.
Step 3. Spray the waffle iron with an oil based spray and then turn on and wait until its heated. Follow the instructions for your iron!
