Did someone say BACON?! After trying a recipe I found on Pinterest for this spicy honey glazed thick-cut bacon topped with sesame seeds...I don't think I'll ever go back to eating bacon any other way.
The recipe I followed can be found at food & wine. I did make some slight changes by adding in some chili powder and forgoing the coriander.
-1 pound thick cut bacon
-3 tablespoons honey
-1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
-pinch chili pepper
-1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Step 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet and place bacon on top.
Step 3. Combine honey, cayenne and chili powder in a small pot and stir on low heat until honey is melted, about 1 minute.
Step 4. Brush spiced honey onto one side of the bacon and bake for 10 minutes.
Step 5. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and bake for another 5-10 minutes.
