This is the ultimate Thanksgiving leftovers transformed into a grilled cheese sandwich! This is a MUST try!
I woke up this morning thinking, "How can I eat my leftovers in a new, unique way?". And then I remembered we had SO many appetizers on Thanksgiving day that we never ended up serving a whole wheel of brie cheese. Then my brain immediately went to how well turkey and brie marry together and then I added some stuffing and cranberry sauce and I surprised myself with how delicious this was!
- 2 slices bread (I used simple white bread)
- Butter, softened
- Sliced leftover Turkey
- Cranberry Sauce
- Brie cheese, about 2 long slices
Step 1. Butter the outsides of both slices of bread. I like to do this first, then place one piece with the buttered side down in my sauté pan and assemble the rest in there. (Tip: I like to add a little extra butter in the pan to help from burning!)
Step 2. Next, layer the sandwich starting with turkey, then stuffing, the cranberry sauce followed by the brie cheese. Then top with the other slice of bread (buttered side up).
Step 3. Cook on medium-low heat. I like to cover the pan to help melt the cheese. Cook until each side is nicely browned. Slice sandwich in half and enjoy this cheesy thanksgiving leftover transformation!
