This Japanese cocktail bar has a solid bar menu to go with their fantastic cocktails!
New to Greenwich Village, Bar Moga serves up some well crafted cocktails... but possibly stealing the show is their bar food menu, especially their Omu Rice which is a Japanese style omelette served over fried rice and topped with a ketchup based sauce. At Bar Moga, the chef actually comes out to slice the omelette with a very sharp knife right at your table!
I loved the presentation of the Grilled Caesar Salad and the flavor that the slightly charred romaine lettuce gave to the overall taste of the dish:
I'm not a huge salmon lover, but the Salmon Pastrami was preeetty great! If you love lox and the flavor of a pastrami then this is going to be right up your alley:
The Vegetable Ramen was definitely the stand out in terms of flavor. I absolutely loved the thick, creaminess of the broth and the thin, crispy vegetables on top! This is a must order:
Another fantastic dish was the Hamburger Steak with glazed carrots and an incredible demi glaze sauce. I literally could bottle that sauce and put it on everything! I love the idea of this dish... it sort of reminds me of a fancy meatloaf but in a burger form and without the unhealthy additions of cheese and a bun:
Have some great bar food over some great Japanese style cocktails!
