I love avocados. I love cheese. Add carbs and it’s one happy family!
I used whole grain bread so it’s healthy right? Just kidding this isn’t a healthy post on my part but it IS a delicious one!
Avocado Grilled Cheese
Servings 1
Ingredients
- 2 slices whole grain bread
- 1/2 an avocado sliced
- 2 slices cheese of your choice I used gouda...I love gouda! Cheddar, American, or Swiss would work well, too!
- Spreadable butter or softened butter
- Optional: spicy ketchup dipping sauce 2 parts ketchup and 1 part Sriracha--highly recommend!
Instructions

Generously butter the outside of each piece of bread. Assemble 2 slices of cheese with sliced avocado.

Heat a non-stick pan, add the sandwich, and cook each side of the bread until it's golden brown. Slice and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
Tip: If you cut into it and the cheese isnt melted, just add it back to the pan and add about a teaspoon of water and cover the pan. In 30 seconds to a minute you should have ooey gooey melted cheese!
