This salt is found in the Pacific ocean and gets its color from the activated coconut shell charcoal found in the waters. It differs from regular salt in that its flavor is a bit smokier…and it just looks beautiful!
Avocado Toast w. Black Lava Salt
Ingredients
- Multi-grain bread
- Butter
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 1 radish
- 1 pinch Black Lava Salt found on Hello Crisp website
Instructions
-
Toast the bread. In a small saute pan, add a little butter and once hot, crack the egg into the pan and cook (see my post on the perfect fried egg for more directions).
-
Using half of an avocado, gently peel off the skin from one half. Place the avocado down on the cutting board and with a long knife, cut thin slices. Using a mandolin or a knife, slice/cut a radish into thin rounds.
-
Using your fingers, fan out the avocado slices and place on top of the toasted bread. Top with the egg and radish slices. Sprinkle a pinch of the Black Lava Salt on top and enjoy!
