Loaded Tater Tots
- 6 strips thick cut bacon I used a hickory smoked bacon
- 1 bag frozen tater tots
- Smoked paprika
- 1 bunch scallions
- Manchego cheese
Preheat oven to 415 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place bacon on the sheet and cook for 5 minutes, flip them over and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove and place on paper towels to remove excess grease.
Using the same baking sheet, add frozen tater tots. Bake for 10 minutes, flip them over and bake for another 10 minutes. While the tots are getting all golden brown and delicious, slice the scallions thin. Cut up the bacon strips into cubes.
When the tots are done, dust them with some of the smoked paprika. Transfer them to a bowl, grate as much Manchego cheese as your heart/stomach desire then top with scallions and bacon!
Tip: To get the most perfectly cooked and crispy bacon, always bake it in the oven!
