I’m truly a sucker for mortadella and burrata so I put them together in this sandwich and just added some balsamic glaze and lettuce and was a happy camper!
It is important to salt and pepper the burrata to really bring out the flavor so be sure to do that! You can use either a balsamic glaze (my personal preference for this sandwich) or a good balsamic vinegar and then any lettuce you prefer. I used a few pieces of bibb lettuce and then put it all in between two slices of fresh ciabatta bread!
Ingredients
- 1 roll ciabatta sliced in half
- 4-6 slices mortadella
- 4 oz burrata cheese
- 2-3 pieces lettuce I used bibb lettuce
- balsamic glaze or balsamic vinegar
- kosher salt
- freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
-
Layer your mortadella slices on top of the bottom piece of your ciabatta, making sure to fold each slice at least in half to create more layers.
-
Next, add the burrata making sure that it is cut open and spread. Season with salt and pepper and then top with your pieces of lettuce.
-
Drizzle your balsamic glaze (or balsamic vinegar) on top, close the sandwich, cut in half if you'd like and enjoy!
