Pasta with Breadcrumbs
- 1 pound pasta angel hair, spaghetti or linguine -- I like to use fresh pasta for this
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
- Approximately 1/2 stick of unsalted butter
- Kosher salt & freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta al dente according to directions on the box. If using fresh pasta cook for only 2-3 minutes.
While pasta is cooking, combine breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese in a small sauté pan and on medium-low heat toast the breadcrumbs for about 2 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from heat and set aside.
Drain pasta and add butter (add more if needed), season with salt and pepper then top with toasted breadcrumbs!
