With Thanksgiving fast approaching and COVID still looming over us.. perhaps your day of thanks is looking to be smaller than normal. I know mine is! If you don’t want to make a big turkey this year then this smaller and MUCH easier slow cooker turkey breast recipe is just for you!
I’ve included the spice mix I used, but of course, you can use whichever spice blend you prefer and follow the same cooking guidelines. See my recipe notes for links to my cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes! My favorite gravy is actually using the Bou beef or turkey gravy cubes (they are SO good).
Ingredients
- 1 boneless, skinless turkey breast 5-7 pounds
- 1/2 cup water
Spice Rub
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sweet or smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Instructions
-
Combine the oil and other spices in a small bowl then rub all over the turkey (top and bottom).
-
Add the turkey to your slow cooker and add 1/2 cup water, cover, and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until tender.
-
Optional: Serve with gravy, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce!
