Brussels Sprouts | 2 Ways

Ingredients

Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Spicy Honey Drizzle

  • 1 lb brussels sprouts halved
  • 5-6 strips thick cut bacon medium chopped
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Kosher salt & fresh cracked black pepper to taste

Brussels Sprouts with Sweet Chili Sauce

  • 1 lb brussels sprouts halved
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

Instructions

Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Spicy Honey Drizzle

  1.  Heat oil in a cast iron pan or sauté pan on medium heat. Add brussels sprouts (Tip: don't overcrowd the pan, cook in batches if you need to) and cook for about 3 minutes or until browned.

  2. Add in bacon, turn the brussels sprouts and brown on the other side, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  3.  In the meantime, add honey, chili powder and cayenne pepper to a small sauce pan until honey melts, about 1 minute (if it starts to harden again before your brussels sprouts are done or you're not ready to serve just reheat it for another minute).

  4. Remove brussels sprouts from the pan and drizzle with the spicy honey.

Brussels Sprouts with Sweet Chili Sauce

  1.  Heat oil in a cast iron pan or sauté pan on medium heat. Add brussels sprouts (Tip: don't overcrowd the pan, cook in batches if you need to) and cook for about 3 minutes or until browned.

  2. Turn the brussels sprouts and cook for about 2 minutes. Add sweet chili sauce and cook for 1 minute.
  3. You're done! That was easy.
