Ingredients

  • fresh pasta
  • butter
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • parmesean cheese
  • nutmeg

Instructions

  1.  Use fresh pasta (you can buy Buittoni's fresh pasta in the cold aisle at most grocery stores--I prefer their angel hair or linguine). You only need to cook fresh pasta for 1-2 minutes in salted, boiling water.

  2.  Toss cooked pasta in butter.

  3.  Season with kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper.

  4.  Add some freshly grated parmesan cheese (off a block). I like to grate some and toss it into the pasta then use a mandolin or cheese slicer to add some thin slices at the top!

  5.  My favorite part...fresh ground nutmeg. Emphasis on fresh! I always keep some whole nutmeg in a small mason jar with a small grater on hand.
