Use fresh pasta (you can buy Buittoni's fresh pasta in the cold aisle at most grocery stores--I prefer their angel hair or linguine). You only need to cook fresh pasta for 1-2 minutes in salted, boiling water.
Toss cooked pasta in butter.
Season with kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper.
Add some freshly grated parmesan cheese (off a block). I like to grate some and toss it into the pasta then use a mandolin or cheese slicer to add some thin slices at the top!
My favorite part...fresh ground nutmeg. Emphasis on fresh! I always keep some whole nutmeg in a small mason jar with a small grater on hand.
