These bowls were even better tasting than I imagined! They have just the right amount of natural sweetness and flavor.
Have you guys ever heard of Alove aloe vera yogurt? I hadn’t until recently when I went into a Japanese market and saw these yogurts that have real pieces of aloe vera in them. My first thought was, “that’s strange”. My next thought was, “but I want to try it”. And I’m glad I did because it was delicious and inspired this recipe!
I love making pitaya bowls for two main reasons: 1) they are so DARN pretty and 2) dragon fruit or “pitaya” has many health benefits, think anti-aging, fiber, vitamin C and more!
Ingredients
- 2 pitaya smoothie packs I used Pitaya Plus
- 2 bananas sliced and frozen
- 1 6 oz cup Alove yogurt I used the original Aloe flavor
- 1/4 cup cashew milk or other dairy/non-dairy milk
Suggested toppings
- 2 dragon fruit, skin removed and cubed
- 1 kiwi, skin removed and sliced
- Dried coconut chips
Instructions
-
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high until fully combined. Add in more cashew milk if needed.
-
Pour into two bowls and top with suggested toppings—or ones of your own choosing!
